The Moscow International Festival of Underwater Art will take place in Moscow on February 19-22, 2004 (Business-centre, Radisson-Slavyanskaya hotel) within limits of the Moscow International Festival "Diving 2004".
The First Moscow International Festival "Diving 2003" took place on February 2003 and became the most significant event in the "underwater" life of Russia. The Festival united participants and guests throughout Russia and all over the world, firms' representatives selling diving equipment, different training systems, schools and diving clubs, amateurs and professional users, photographers and video cameramen (thanks to them everybody can see what happens under the water) - all who are fond of submarine world and worry about the diving development in Russia - the audience which with thanks appreciates both recreational and professional movies, photos, slides and other works of art.
The Second All-Russian Open Festival of Underwater Photography gathered 426 pictures of 62 photographers from Russia, Austria, Italy and Turkey. 121 photos were exhibited. The main award - "Spectator's sympathy award" was presented to Oleg Vorotnikov (Voronezh), audience of 368 voted for him. Also the following men were awarded: in Nomination "Man and submarine world" - Andrey Zamyatin (Moscow), "Fish" - Domnez Risep (Turkey), "Wide Angle" - Valeriy Darkin (Vladivostok), "Makro' - Vadim Zverev (St. Petersburg), "Creation" - Boris Tarasov (Moscow), "Russian Waters" - Mikhail Vedekhin (Moscow).
The First Festival of Underwater Films "Black Pearl" gathered more than 80 movies not only from Russia, but almost from all over the world. Australia, Austria, Belgium, Belarus, Germany, Spain, Canada, Malta, the Netherlands, USA, Ukraine, Turkey, Czechia, Yugoslavia were presented there. The best in Group "A" (long films) was "The secrets of inverted Globe" by Mayram Yusupova (Russia), the best in Group "B" (short films) was "Critters" by Jon Boule (Great Britain). The Grand Prix won the film "Lake Ladoga. The road #101" by Vladimir Ryzhov (Russia "Underwater Expeditions").
Winners were rewarded with "Pearls" - the official awards of the Festival, author's works by Lyubov Savelyeva, artist of artistic glass, member of Academy of Arts of Russian Federation. Also special awards were presented for the most "ecological", the most "romantic" film, film about diving in Russia and others.

All photographers are invited to take part in the Festival of Underwater Photography "Gold Dolphin". Every participant can present not more than 5 photos (30x40 or 30x45 cm) with information about an author overleaf (name, surname, patronymic name; address and telephone number; camera; place of shoot). It is necessary to make a mark "digit" on photos made by digital photo cameras, and also with digital method from several sources and etc. Slide-films will be singled out in a separate nomination of the Festival. The closing date of photos' presenting is the 1st of December 2003. Works are taken to the address: 109088, Moscow, Ugreshskaya str., 12, The Center of Underwater Photographers of Russia.
