This beautiful colorful film is about underwater inhabitants of Galapagos. Together with "Russian Underwater Expeditions" you will make a pleasing tour to mysterious ocean depths.
Hundreds species of pelagian fish, sea lions, fur seals, sea turtles and dolphins dwell in the Galapagos waters. You can meet Galapagos sharks, nurse-sharks and silvertip reef sharks in these waters. Hammerhead sharks swim here in the large shoals of 300-400 individuals. Plankton rich waters of the archipelago also attract whales and whale sharks. A surface of basalt rocks and underwater boulders is dotted soft and black corals. Shoals of sea-eels dwell in the canals with sand floor. Bigeye cramp-fish gather around large bushes of black coral.
Galapagos is also a bird kingdom. 60 species of birds live here and a half of them are endemic species. Frigate-birds, albatrosses, cormorants, pelicans, boobies and other sea birds, forming bird colonies, build their nests on the islands' coastal rocks. Galapagos penguins can be met on Isabella and Bartholomew Islands, they nestle in the caves and lava voids. On Santiago and Florins Islands in the concealed salt-water lagoons you can see flamingos.
