Recently, a first Russian school of underwater fashion-show models was opened in Moscow. In plans of school's directors an underwater model, as a model on the podium, should have artistry and grace, which are so natural for inhabitants of the underwater world. The main task is to make films and photomaterials with organic combination of a man and Neptune's kingdom, to make films that will provoke a keen interest at broad sections of the public, promote diving development and understanding of the underwater world.

At the present time our school is going to work in two directions.
The first direction is dictated by escalating popularity of diving. It's exactly popularity, not fashion. The peculiarity of fashion that it is to be over, but keenness on diving more often becomes one of forms of an active rest, a hobby, and sometimes the sense of life.
The first direction is for broad sections of people diving actively and itching to share their impressions about dives with folks and friends. They take underwater video & photo equipment. And just on this stage we should teach them a correct interaction between a diver and a photo-video operator under the water.
All this takes place within the limits of IANTD program, one of the leaders in the world of diving. There is a course of underwater fashion-show model, giving basic skills of interaction between a diver and a photo-video operator during the underwater shootings. After finishing a course and successful exams' passing students get an international diploma and a certificate.

The second direction is a preparation of professional fashion-show models for shooting of advertising video, underwater advertisement, feature and documentary films. Teaching is carried out both for ready divers and beginners.
Different instructors teach in this school. There are skills of SCUBA-diving, breath-hold diving, apnea, respiratory gymnastics, sense of rhythm, mimicry, underwater communication with an operator, skills of coming in and out from the shooting area, light arrangement within the limits of this course.
Continual work with a video operator and photo sessions are also within the limits of this program. There is a review and analysis of a shot material there. After skills' mastering studies are carried to open water, where the acquired skills are perfected and then creative work begins. Shooting of advertising video and photo sessions for portfolio are carried out. After course's finishing graduates can work independently. We are planning to create a data bank of all school graduates.
Now let me introduce our first students, taken a course of underwater fashion-show models. According to concatenation of circumstances these girls in the past or in the present are concerned with fashion-show model business.
