Training is provided according to standards of four biggest international federations - for amateurs they are:
PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors)
Professional Association of diving instructors, organized in America and numbering thousands of dive-schools all over the world, is a powerful world-wide system of commercial dive-centers and schools of diving. Training to diving is thought over to details, standardized and unique for the whole world. Recently PADI concerned itself with deep technical diving. The corresponding regional office controls work of schools and dive-centers, situated in a certain part of the world. PADI certificates are common for all regions and declared by other federations and dive-centers world over.
CMAS (Confederation Mondiale des Activites Subaquatique)
The World-wide Conference of Underwater Activity was established in 1959 by Jacques-Yves Cousteau and his colleges. Today it's the biggest divers' association in the world including more than 90 national federations and coordinating diverse kinds of underwater activity. A great number of CMAS dive-centers is situated in all resort seaside countries except the North America - an influence zone of American systems: PADI & NAUI. CMAS Certificates of all degrees are declared and in dive-centers of other federations.
 SDI (SCUBA Diving International)
The International Underwater Federation was established in 1999 by a team of TDI technical federation with a view to promoting some democratic and innovative principles from technical diving to amateur diving. The main difference SDI from other traditional amateur federations - is a respect to divers' individuality and giving more rein to skillful and strong scuba divers.
TDI (Technical Diving International)
TDI Federation was established in 1994 by Brett Gilliam, who became a permanent leader and an ideologist of its federation. Brett Gilliam - is one of brightest persons in history of technical diving. TDI Federation is like PADI; it's sharply structured and has its regional offices all over the world.
